The Shasta arrlvea In Portland at
8:30 p.m., and the Chicago-bound
Rose leaves at 9:35 p.m., arriving tn
Chicago at 8:45 o'clock on the third
morning.

piano accordion, three violins and

Travis at the piano, entertained the
Lions club at luncheon today noon
at the Hotel Holland. The entertain
ers are appearing today at the Holly
theater and received repeated ap
plause from the Lions.
Harry Moore of the Association of
the Unemployed voiced an appeal in
behalf of the association for the buy
ing or scrip to be sold by the unem
ployed committee, beginning Friday
of this week.
James Hall, movie star, scheduled
to appear at the luncheon, did not
arrive In the city In time to keep the
appointment.

the evening1. Mr. Gatea alio stated

At a late hour today the crowd
had numbered 1700 and more Inter
ested people continued to come f
the salon. The crowd, according to
Mr. Gates, seemed to be especially
Interested In the talking picture of
the new model, which la shown In
conjunction with the display of the
V-8 model.
Vaudeville Scores
Hit Holly Crowds
Those wishing 10 see the big vaule
vllle bill at the Holly theater are re
minded that thla bill la showing there
for the last times today. Large and
enthusiastic, audiences greeted the
opening day performances and every
one was well pleased with the show.
The acts are all big time acta and
are composed of groups that have ap
peared In the largest houses In the
country. Tho Icoluccl Quartet was
particularly outstanding. Eddie Vine
and brother, Al and Louise Rudack,
the Rythra Olrls and Westerlund and
Nlckeraon are all big time acts and
present a show that is superior to
anything seen tn Medford for a long
time.
Starting at the Holly tomorrow Is
"The Jewell Robbery." which features
Kay Francis and William Powell. This
Is the first time for years that these
two have appeared together and the
result Is a gay. saucy and spicy pic
ture. This picture will be at the
Holly the balance of the week.

Jiggar Released
On Fight Charge
F. E. Jiggar was found not guilty
In the charges of assault and battery
filed against him by V. F. Wilson,
following an encounter between the
two a short time ago at Rogue River.
Jiggar, who resides on the Wilson
place there, has refused to move at
