HUMANE SOCIETY ADDSBOYS, GIRLS GET
5 I
l-UK MM JOBLtbS
The Jackson County Humane eo
ctety wtll cooperate with the Jackaon
County Unemployment Belief council
in the extensive program of the worn
en'a division, striving to provide
those without work, food for the win
ter. Mrs. A. E. Reames, chairman of
the women's division, announced to
day. The society will cooperate through
arranging for the feeding of such
animals as cows, chickens and goats,
which contribute much to the liveli
hood of many southern Oregon fam
ilies. The need for natural foods la
very great at the resent time, Mrs.
Reames pointed out today In voicing
her appreciation of the humane ao
ciety'a cooperation. And In the coun
try there are many families that thru
keeping a cow or a goat and chick
ens wUl be able to do much toward
keeping themselves well fed during
the coming winter. Many of them,
however, without eld would be un
able to kefep the animals,
For this reason the humane soci
ety's cooperation will mean much to
them and to the workers, who are
striving to solve the food conserva
tion problem, and making great
headway In that direction.
