to cool weather.
Prospective production of Ore
gon apples remain the same, approx
imately 4,950,000 bushel, wltJa cool

rather favorable conditions for

. Commercial apples are estimated at
1,050,000 barrel, compared to only
700,000 barrels last year.

Apples were listed as 4,060,000
bushel in '33, with 4,150,000 for '31.
The United States production waa
given aa 135,406,000 bushels this year
with 303,416,000 last year.
; A total of 330,000 bushel! of
peaches waa this year's production,
the bulletin showed, with 330,000
buajhela last year. For the United
States, 46,136,000 bushels were On
the 1033 table, with the commercial
output In 1981 76,689,000 bushels.

season oooured near here when the
hills above the Van Dyke and old
Moreland place, now owned by Mr.
Chambers burned. The buildings on
the Chambers place were In danger
and only by the aid of about 25
neighbors and forestry men were they
saved. Some grain and hay stacks
on Van Dyke's place and the build
ings on the Harley Dunn ranch also
narrowly escaped burning.
