ant trip to San Francisco, but the
weather unpleasantly cool.
Mrs. Hargadene and Mrs. Magnus-
son, who have been visiting Mr. and
MM. J. M. Whipple, left Saturday
for a weck'a visit with frlenda In
Ashland.
Miss Gertrude Breyen was calling
on friends In Rogue River the past
week. Miss Breyen has been county
health nurse for the past year and
is resigning to return to the middle
west to make her home.
William Leach, a resident of Rogue
River for the past 20 years, was bur
led Monday moVrg In the Rogue
River cemetery. Services were held
by the Live Oak Orange, assisted by
Rev. and Mrs. Harris. He was 66
years old and was born in New York.
L. H. Spencer, a brother-in-law, and
Mr. Dewey, a nephew, of Loa Angeles,
