party of ten persons from Oranta
Pas must have enjoyed the 4th with
a thrilling adventure they wont for
get for some time when they became
lost sfter leaving ths Oregon Caves
and found themselves the next day
near the head of steamboat river.
They planned to go to the old cave
camp ground when they got off on
the wrong trail. The remainder of
their party came up the Applegate
to Williams creek where they were
plsnnlng a searching party when the
lost ones arrived at the cabin of Bill
Fruit, a fireman for the forest serv
ice, and telephoned Ranger L. 0.
