Orchardlata In this section of the
county are looking forward to a
bumper crop of pears and are hop
ing that a good profit may be real
ized from thla season's harvest of the
"luscious fruit." TJie two largest or
chards In thla locality, the Riviera
plantation and the Champlln El Oro,
were not damaged by any frost and
as a result the crop will be a large
one and many people will be em
ployed. Mrs. Charles Wahl. who has been
111 with an attack of the flu, has
now practically recovered and la able
to be about.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rose and Mr.
and Mrs. Briscoe spent the Fourth
of July with Mr. and Mrs. Clay Biles.
Mrs. Bllea served a turkey dinner.
Mr, and Mrs. Boomalultsr were en
tertained by friends on the Fourth
of July at Bybee Bprlngs.

were no Independence day casualties

Mills, left for the Boy Scout camp at
the Lake o' the Woods, where they
will stay for about a month.
