AC Dinner and Swim.
Miss Gladys Murphy entertained
last evening tor a group of friends
at a delightful dinner party at Val
entine's cafe, followed by swimming
at Twin Plunges, Ashland. Covers
wers arranged for seven at the table,
attractively decorated In summer
flowers with a little man In pine
cone uniform marking each place.
Following dinner the group mo
tored to Ashland, where swimming
was enjoyed for the remainder " of
the evening. Those present were:
Miss Irva Fewell. Miss Margaret Reld.
Misses Lois and Alt a Llndsey, Miss
Margaret Hensley, Mrs. Moore Hamil
ton and the hostess, Miss Murphy.
Attending the party from Medford
were: Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Prultt.
Mr. and Mrs, Hoy Prultt, Mrv and
Mrs. Glen Prultt, Mr. and Mrs. Ray
Prultt ami children, Mr. and Mrs.
Richard Prultt and Mr. and Mrs.
Beltte Biles.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Robertson and
daughter of Fresno were guests fol
lowing the picnic of Mr. and Mrs.
Roy Prultt of this city and enjoyed
with them a trip to Crater lake the
first of the week, returning to Med
ford via Klamath Falls.
Dixie Picnic
Is Postponed
r The nlcnlc of the Dixie club,
planned for Sunday at the Hamlin
cabin, has been postponed, date to
be announced later. It was learned
yesterday.
Mrs. Cotchett and
Son Expected Here
Mrs. James Cotchett and c-n.
James, Jr., of Australia arrived In
San Francisco Wednesday en route to
southern Oregon, where they will
spend the summer as guests of Mrs.
Cotchett'e sister, Mrs. James Pel ton
of Fort Klamath and of her brother,
John Orth, and family of Medford.
They were set In the bay city by
Mrs. Pelton and Emmett Slsemore,
who motored south several days ago.
Mr. Cotchett, who la also well
known here, sailed for England when
his wife and son sailed for the states
and will continue to America in the
fall to accompany them on their re
turn to Australia.
Dlxons Home From
Motor Trip North
Mr. and Mrs. Volney Dixon and
son Frank returned to this city Wed
nesday from a 10 days' trip to Port
land and Seattle. While In the latter
city they attended the commence
ment exercises of the University of
Washington, where Miss Jane Dixon
was a member of the graduating
class. Mtss Dixon did not return
with them to Medford but remained
on the campus for the special sum
mer se&slon. She will arrive home
about September 1.
Mrs. Blrdseye
Honored by Club
ROGUE RIVER. Mrs. Effle Birds
eye was delightfully-surprised by the
ladies of the Civic Improvement club
Friday afternoon. As past president
of the club the was presented a gift
of appreciation. Mrs. Cloyd Dick,
new president, mad tne presenta
tion. The afternoon was spent at
cards and visiting. Refreshments were
served by Mrs. Victor Blrdseye and
Mrs. Dick. Those who enjoyed the
afternoon wltfj Mrs. Blrdseye were
Mesdames Forsythe, Mays, Woodsock,
McQuat, Miller, Smith, Ouestslaff,
Harris, McLaren, Agnes Magerle, San
dry, Thomas, Phelps, Mcllvaln, Maude
Breeding, Dick and Victor Blrdseye.
Parish Card Party

cards will gather at the Parish hall
this evening for the event arranged
by the members of the Sacred Heart
churcn to mark the arrival of sum
mer and close of the bridge season.

party, preceding adjournment until
fall of social activities of the Catho

Phoenix Club to Sponsor
Depression Party June 25.
Phoenix Thursday club will enter
tain with a depression party at the
Grange hall Saturday, June 25, for
the benefit of the public library fund.
Bridge, 500 and cootie will be played.
Many useful gifts will be offered the
holders of high scores, a hand made
quilt being among them. Home
made Ice cream and cake will be sold.

Paia Bulletin of the annual reunion
of the Prultt family, held last Sun
day in Llthla Park. Ashland, with
members In attendance from Eu
gene, Oranta Pasa. Oold Hill, Med
ford and Klamath Falls. The Grants
Pasa account of the party reads:

were: Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Prultt,
their five sons. E. W. and family.
C. A. qpd family, R. H. and family.
D. 8. and Dr. and Mrs. Blaine Prultt.
Rev. Veltle and family of Eugene,
two daughters, Mrs. Andy Moore
and Mrs. Otis R. Stonbery and a
son. Ben Prultt and family, all of
Klamath Palls were those of the Im
mediate family attending the re
union. Following a most delightful dinner
they adjourned to the Christian
church In Ashland, where Rev. Prultt
showed very Interesting pictures of
the trip down the Rogue that he
took some time ago. going as far as
Oold Beach by boat. Rev. Prultt Is
the vocal instructor In the Eugene
Bible University and Is the minister
of the Bprlnitfleld church.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Robertson, life
long friends of the Prultt family,
made the trip from Fresno. Calif.,
to be present at the reunion. They
were accompanied by their daughter.
Helen. Mr. Robertaon, who U secre
tary of the United Orocera' associa
tion in Fresno, gave a very Interest
ing talk during the afternoon.
