PALMA, MAXLORCA (AP) This
capital of the Balearic Islands, which
boasts a population of about 1,300,
principally Americans and English,
claims to be the first Spanish city to
have a theater organization giving
plays in English.
The recently formed Palma Thea
ter Guild, composed of Americana and
English, had presented "The Dover
Road," by Milne, with pralee from
both audience and critics.
The theater In English thus sup
plements other endeavors here In
that language. A dally newspaper.
The Pslma Post, is edited by Amer
icans, and a weekly publication, The
Sun, is also published In English.
