News of Sunday Program
Sunday, for the last time this sea
son, the male choir of the Sacred
Heart church, Catholic, will sing com
positions from the D Minor mass,
under the direction of Sebastian
Apollo, organist, It was announced
yesterday. All music lovers of the
city, who have enjoyed the previous
programs sung by the male voices are
Invited to attend the 10:30 mass to
hear them again, Sunday morning.
In the group are Messrs. Neil Foy,
Earl Foy, Stewart, Harold Corliss and
Raymond Mlksche.

Two Medford Girls
In Campus Contest.
In the second annual intramural
song contest to be held at the Uni
versity of Oregon June 3 under
auspices ol the Polyphonic choir,
two Medford girls. Misses Seuiah
Gore and Betty Evanson. will be
entered by thetr respective living
organizations, according to the list
appearing in the Oregon Daily Emer
ald. Mlsa Gore will represent Phi Mu
sorority and Miss Evanacm Hendricks
hall.-
George Barron la president of the
Polyphonic choir and two large silver
cups are offered, one to the women's
living organisation winning first
honors, the other the men's house
scoring highest.
Mrs, MeCsskey Entertains
For Flower Show Visitors
Mrs. Frank I, Chambers and Mrs.
O. R. Gullion of Eugene, and Mrs.
H. B. Howell sf Grants Pass and
other out of town visitors at the
annual flower show of the Med ford
Garden club, which opened yester
day morning to continue through to
day at the high school gymnasium,
were entertained yesterday afternoon
at tea by Mrs. H. D. McCaskey at
her home on thM old Stage road.
They also enjoyed drive over
tfte scenic hill road and to other
beauty spots of the valley later in
the afternoon.
Mrs. Chambers and Mrs. Gullion,
who acted as Judges at the show,
are returning to Eugene this after
noon. .Medical Auxiliary
Holds Meeting.
Members of the auxiliary to the
Jackson County Medical society met
at the home of Mrs. Wra. W. P.
Holt In MMord Tuesday afternoon.

Mrs. F. O. Swedenburg discussed
the much -publicized case of Nor
man Baker vs. The American Medi
cal association, in which the Ameri
can Medical association waa given

Baker for 1500,000 libel damages,
