Features of Garden Show
Much Interest In this year's flower
show of the Medford Garden club,
scheduled for Thursday and Friday,
May 26 and 27, centers around the
new features to be inaugurated, one
of the most intriguing to be the
economy tables. Mrs. Lewis Ulrlch
Is chairman of this feature and all
persons with a little flare for table
arrangement are urged to enter one
In this display.

this feature to acquaint all local

Guests from Portland
Entertained by Sanders
Miss Mildred Hendrickson and Har
ry Crawford of Portland have been
guests lor several days of Dr. and
Mrs. L. L. Sanders of this city and
the Incentive for considerable enter
taining. Miss Hendrickson Is Mrs.
Sanders' sister.
They were feted last evening at an
Informal bridge party given by the
Sanders and attended by the follow
ing guests: Dr. and Mrs. Robt. E.
Lee, Dr. and Mrs. B. C. Wilson, Mr.
and Mrs. Hildlng Benglson. Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph Bailey, the honor guests
and hosts.
Prizes at cards went to Mrs. Ralph
Bailey and Dr. Wilson.
The Sanders and their guests also
enjoyed a trip to Squaw lake Tues
day and a day of fishing. The trip
constituted Mr. Crawford's first one
into southern Oregon's recreational
land and he caught eight trout be
fore returning to Med lord.
The guests plan to leave tomorrow
morning for Prineville, where they
will visit Miss Hendrtckson's parents
Guild Food Sale
Event for Saturday
Plans are completed for the food
sale tomorrow of St. Mark's Guild, to
be held in the Plggly Wtgsly store on
East Main street. The committee ar
ranging details of the event includes
Mesdames Stark, Swan and Wood
cock. The Guild Is also planning an after
noon bridge party for Saturday, May
27. with arrangements in charge of
Mrs. M. W. Wagner and her committee.

Robert Gould, son of Mr. and Mrs
O. J. Gould of this city, participated
in a recital at the University of Ore
gon last evening, assisting Lois John
son, as organist In the first move
ment of a Mendelssohn concorto In
C-mlnor for piano and organ. Mr.
Gould, a graduate of the university,
recently left this city to make his
home in Eugene, where he is or
