Inquiries have been received from
some of the; newer Orangers In re
gard to Pomona dinner. This being
an all-day meeting, dinner Is served
by the entertaining Orange. The
entertaining Orange also furnishes
coffee, sugar and cream.
All Orangers attending bring a
basket dinner. This means members
of the entertaining Orange and all
others attending.
This basket dinner may consist of
anything deserved. Usually It la
expected' that H will contain one
heavy dlah and one or two lighter
dishes, but this la not absolutely
neceessry. Just bring whatever la
convenient, meat or other heavy
dishes to be served hot or cold,
sandwiches, salads, pies, cake or
other dessert, vegetablea, Jellies or
pickles.
Of course no one ts expected to
bring all or many of these Items.
Juat use your own judgment, and
bring what Is most convenient for
you. There Is always a great plenty
and to spare. Just hand your bas- i
ket. big or little to the ladles In
charge and spend the day enjoying 1
the meeting.
Do not stay away from Pomona
because It la Inconvenient for you
to prepare a large basket. Come,
you are welcome, even If you bring
but a dozen sandwiches, or a dish
of masbed potatoes to be reheated.
We would not like to feel that
the thought of preparing a basket
would keep any member from at
tending the Pomona. It Is necessary
that aa many of the subordinate
Orange members aa possible attend.
We want you to know what we are
doing, or trying to do. The Po
mona la great help to the newer
Orangers In getting them acquainted
with real Orange work. So do not
worry so much about the eats, but
come.
