San Francisco and Sacramento end
ed the first week's series In the 1932
Pacific Const league race, sharing the
top position, with IX victories and
but one defeat In games with their
respective opponents of the week.
Both the Souls and Sacramento
were victorious In yesterday's double
programs which closed the first week's
series.
San Francisco .downed the Seattle
Indians by scores of 5-4 and 3-1. The
first game was decided In the ninth
Inning when the Seals slid over a
winning tally after entering the stan
za tied, 4-all. In the second gnme
it was the eighth Inning before Se
attle could score Its lone run.

Sacramento vanquished the Mission
Reds by scores of -4 and 8-3. The
Reds were halted when winning runs
were on base In the final Inning of
the first gnme. and In the second game
two Sacramento runs came home In
the ninth when Sherlock made a bad
