Entertained
The Alpha Sigma class of the First
V M. E churcrt met at the home of
Mrs. Katherine Satterlee, 612 West
Fourth atreet, the first of the week.
A short program tn keeping with St.
Patrick's day was enjoyed, after
which refreshments were served.
All members of the class are urged
to be present for the Easter services
at 9:45 o'clock. Visitors are cordi
ally invited.

Mrs. Katheryn Heffernan la a
charming guest la Hertford this week
from Seattle. Accompanied by iser
yjung son, Robert, aie made the trip
south with her father, Ed Hanley,
and la dividing her time between
Medford and the Lake Creek region.

itor In Medford last year and a par
ticipant in many social e'enta which

Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Bardwell, return
ed from Portland yesterday, accom
panied by Miss Mabel arrow, a-ho
will be her house guest for the re
mainder of the spring vacation peri
od, after which the two girls will re
turn to the University of Oregon to
resume their studies for the spring
term. Miss Bardweil was guest of
Miss Darrow in Portland for the first
part of the spring holiday.

Farewell Party Planned for
Mr, and Mrs. Roberts
A farewell party will be givea for
the pleasure of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis
Roberts Sunday evening at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. George Flak on Grif
fin creek. Plana were announced to
day and all members of Talisman
temple Ho. 40, Pythian Sisters, are
urged to attend. A covered dish sup
per will be served t 8:30. Mr. and
Mrs, Roberts are leaving soon for
Oakland, Cel.

Another Card Party
Wednesday, March SO, la announc

for another card party. It will be
held in the K. P. hall and both bridge
and 500 will be played. Prize will
be given and refreshment served.
