that while the Texan was not seeking
the Democratic presidential nomina
tion, tlie boom for him was growing,
and California should send an In
structed delegation for him to Chi
cago. The former Democratic secretary of
the treasury, who heads the Garner
pledged slate of delegate cnholdates

called on Mr. Garner at the Capitol
to pay his respects.
"We didn't discuss politics." Mr
McAdoo said, "but as I wn leaving

Winter, a former representative,
testified in behalf of his state on

of the Orange, and commemorating
the seventh anniversary of the

a Glimpse at the Future."

The community project commit
tee reported that effort had been
made to have more people Hvlng
along the new mall route put out
mail boxes and get their mall deliv
ered to the door In place of having
to go to Eagle Point for their mall.
This mall route 1 the result of the
five year good road project launched
some time ago and finished last
year.
The agricultural committee uged
that the Grange concentrate on as
slating the farmer in every way pos
sible. The cheese factory In thla
community haa been of great assist
ance to the farmer In disposing of
his dairy products at a higher price
than .he would have received for but
ter fat. All are urged to patronlr
this home industry by using It pro
duct exclusively.
Two new member were taken Into
the Grange, Cornelius . Miller and
Laura Miller. The third and fourth
degrees will be conferred at the next
regular meeting. April 6. At thla
meeting the home economic com
mittee will present a home economics
program during the lecture hour.
The ways and nitans committee
announced that a play would be
given In the Eagle Point Grange hall
by the Roxy Ann Grange on Thurs
day night April 7. There will be
free dancing afterward.
The H. E. club will meet March SO,
at the home of Mrs. Ted Seaman,
unless otherwise announced.
