Indicates that the public 1 buying
ordinary quality and paying less at
tention to top stuff locally, the Jour
nal says today. While recently there
was a report that 92 score and better
was finding an Improved sale locally,
late developments Indicated that the,
general public was unwilling to pay
a stiff premium for any sort of but
ter. Total sales of 92 score and better
are a mere drop In the bucket com
pared with those of 90 to 91 scores.
Production of butter all through
the Paclflo northwest la decreasing,
. local manufacture as well as receipts
from the country showing a loss for
recent days.
Market for spring chickens Is de
pressed with values 1 to 2c lb. lower
according to some killers.
Market for live chickens and es
pecially medium . and heavyweight
hens Is somewhat firmer with ad
vances In spots. Heavy hen birds are
now around 19-20o. lb. In the country
for Portland delivery.

the periodical meeting at Klamath
Falls tomorrow of the Federal Busi
ness Men'a association of southern
Oregon, and at the aame time take

The local delegation will probably

tlnue. She leaves Jier mother, formerly
Mrs. P, J. Klngery, her father having
passed away In 1935. Funeral ser
vices will be held at the Conger
chapel, conducted by Rev, O, W.
Frost of the Apostolic Faith, at 2:30
Wednesday. Interment will follow

imum sentence In state prison for an
arson plot to defraud an Insurance
company, his partner, L. a. Robblns,
under a five year maximum sentence,
Mrs. Ann Wright and Mrs. Mary
Robblns, wives of the two men, un
der two years maximum sentence,
will be taken to the state prison at
Salem today.
Mrs. Wright is still grlef-rtrlcken
and bemoaning her aeparatlon from
her two boys, 18 and 17 years old.
The lads will be forced to shift for
themselves, after preliminary assis
tance from the county court. They
will probably be returned to Coos
county, where they formerly lived
and have acquaintances. --
Mrs. Robblns, a trained nurse, Is
less perturbed over her sentence.
They will be able to apply for a
parole when they have completed
one-third of their sentence.
