On a Trip
We are very sorry that Ruth May
Banks had to go away. She wrote a
letter to Mrs. Rcld saying that she
was vory .homesick. She and her fam
ily are going to visit Niagara Falls.
She wanted the sixth grade to write
to her. We all wrote her a note,
Mrs. Reld la going to send them as
soon as she gets their accurate ad
dress.
Fun for Group Three
The boys and girls In group three
of the 6A class are studying the
"Cave Twins," which la a very good
book to read. The boys are making
weapons like the cave people used at
that time. One girl. Pearl Jones,
dressed a doll like "Firefly," which la
one of the twins. She Is dressed In
skins. Pearl even made ncr hair red,
just like Firefly's.
An Accident
Thomas Johnson was playing foot
ball last Tuesday, 14, when Bobble
James tackled him. He fell and
sprained his knee. After the bell
rang he went up In his room but he
couldn t work. Mr. Oustln took him
home. The doctor put bis knee In a
cast. Thomas will not be In school
for some time. We miss him, espe
cially In our games.

Last Saturday, a week ago, Jack
son's speed ball team played Lincoln.
They played an open game and no
one was hurt. The score was 6 to 3

Banking
The average for this week's bank
ing is 80 percent. We are slowly
climbing upward with our average.
The rooms banking over ninety per
cent were Mica Stewarts room and
Miss Brlggs' room. Mrs, Laldley's
room had 100 percent, as usual.
Daddy's Night
Daddy's Night will be held at Jack
son school, Friday, October 30. The
P. T. A. will be the hostesses. We
hope to have a great many daddies
here.
Speed ball
The speedball season will end at
the next games the 34th, If Jackson
doesn't tie with Washington. Mr.
Henderson has already picked out a
first and second string for football
practice. We all hope that the foot
ball season will be a very successful
one.

had us choose sides. The captains

Jean's team will have to get busy
