Roscoe Leigh's great-great-grand-fatfier
was one of the signers of the

name was William Whipple. Roscoe
is very proud of his noted ancestor,
Physical Education
The physical education classes
have been re-organlsed In order to
give every child a chance to take
part In the season's games, Each
class Is divided exaally In half and
remain on that team for all games
during the year. The children like
this method very much.
Covers for Books
We were given nice brown coven
for the district loaned books. These
covers were greatly needed and add
attractiveness to the books. Some
very attractive original designs were
made on them. The fourth graders
pasted gay colored maps on black
circles on their geographies.
Library Books
Books have arrived from the cen
tral library. We are glad to get
started on our book reports.

The average In health Inspection
for last week was 98.7 per cent. For
this week It was 98.9.

cent. For this week It was 97.9 per

filling up with Interesting pictures,
maps, s to rye, and book reports. The
children are very proud of them.

pink hat of the Eugenie type, adorn
ed with a blue plume, was part of
the bridesmaid's outfit at a recent
capital wedding. The dress was of
pink chiffon ruffled to the waist

Thlrtyelght members of Phoenix
Grange attended the meeting of the
Eagle Point Grange Tuesday night,
officers of the Phoenix Grange pre
siding. Mrs. O. O. Maust, lecturer, had
charge of the program whlch was
greatly enjoyed and which comprised
two short plays, two readings, given
by O. O. Maust and Mrs. Donna Graf-
fls, several songs by members and a
piano solo by Mrs. Earl Loffer.
Invitation was extended to the
Eagle Point Grange officers to come
to Phoenix on the fourth Tuesday
night In this month and take charge
of the mooting here. The Invitation
was accepted.

Aahland Tuesday to attend a recep
tion given by Ashland chapter in
honor of J, K. Hardy, worthy grand
