MARKS BIRTHDAY
Tom Wstterman, with his still

not looking near so old, celebrated
his sixty-third blrtbdsy today, main
ly by enjoying the crisp (all air,

writing a piece to the newepapers on
any controversial subject.
Tom was so mellowed at the

Mr. Wstterman Is a native of Ver
mont, having been born In Johnson,
In the Oreen Mountain state, whose
bleak hills he toresook about 20 years

"Where Rolls the Oregon."
So utterly was he wrapt up In the
dignity of 66 years today, and good
feeling that be said he hoped the
Athletics and St. Louis teams would
both win the deciding gsme. He
wanted no herd feelings either way.
