COUPLE ARRESTED
IN WIMER THEFT
The sheriff's office was advised by
uougias oounty authorities that
man and woman giving the names
or Albert Davis, and his wife, Wllma.
had been arrested and held for local
authorities, charged with the taking
of a purse containing money and a
ring, to the value of 3, from the
home of William Owlngs In the
Wlmer district.
According to Information received
by the sheriff's office, the pair ad-
mlttcd possession of the purse, but
claimed that they had taken It by
"accident." Davis, the authorities
say. hss been hunting In the Wlmer
district, and stopped at the Owlngs
home. He gave his residence, as St
Helens, Oregon.

bearings, which form the knobs on
the drawers, the dest recently com
pletely for Dr. L. D. Inskeep hy the
City Cabinet Works. It Is made of
yew wood grown In neighboring hills.
The Czechoslovak lan workman who
made the desk utilized all the beaut
iful grains of the wood to the best
advantage. The white streaks, where
the sap ran, form a pattern across
the back and down the sides. The
knots add much beauty to the top
and front. The desk has not been
veneered but given a polish, which
preserves the natural color of the
wood.
