Pioneer Meeting Tonight A meet
ing of Southern Oregon Pioneers .!

Announces Cruise ft N. McKensie,
traveling passenger agent for the Can
adian National railways, was In Med
ford a short time yesterday from his
headquarters In Portland. He an
nounced that the S S Prince Henry,
.flagship for the Paclflo Coast fleet,
will make a special cruise from Van
couver to Halifax via the Panama
Canal. The trip will start Novenv
ber 31, and end December 13.
Glenn Terrlll Gets 4-Polnt Buck
Glenn Terrlll, deputy county assessor
of Klamath county, and former Med-
ford resident, who learned to shoot
at Lake. Creek, killed a four point
buck last Sunday, and Norman B.
White of Klamath Falls, 10-year-oli
son of Assistant Supervisor Norman
White of Crater national forest, of
Medford, also bagged on the first
day a 175-pound buck wltm a .22
rifle, in the Drews valley section of
bJamath county.
Stolen Car Recovered The Chevro
let automobile stolen In Medford
Sunday night while Its owners, Mr.
and Mrs. H. A. Fredenburg, attended
church services, was reported in to
the sherlil's office In Grants Pass
Monday morning by Charles Cooley,
who found it abandoned beside a
warehouse of the Three C's Lumber
company in that city. Ownership of
tne machine was traced through Its
license number, and Mr. Fredenburg
went to Grants Pass Monday after
noon and claimed the car, driving It
back to Medford immediately. The
Ignition key and spotlight had been
stolen.

IN SEVEN MULE DEER
The record killing reported- since
the opening of the deer hunting
season Sunday was brought Into
Medford last night by "Hubbard
Bros, gang," it totaled seven, four
and five point bucks.
The eight men who composed the
party did their hunting out from
Lakevlew. ( Just where they refuse to
tell. They lined the mule deer up
at the store this morning snd took
photographs to prove their skill to
friends too distant to sample the

AT HEARING HERE
Naturalisation examinations were
held this morning by W. Blackman,
federal examiner, in the circuit
court room, at the conclusion of
which, exercises were conducted by
Col W. H. Paine of the American
Legion, and Circuit Court Judge H.
D. Norton made a short address.
Final examinations were held for
R. O. Mulholland and Edith Caro
lina Schramm eck of this city, and
they were granted citizenship papers.
Preliminary bearings were held for
Oscar Johnson, his wife Marlon,
James Douglas, and Henry B.
Schmltz, all of Grants Pass. Schmlta
was instructed to study more about
American laws and customs, and to
appear for examination next Feb
ruary. Final examinations for the other
three applicants will be held at
Grants Pass tomorrow.
Questions ashed the applicants
dealt with history queries relative
to America and Its constitution, and
each was asked if he had any relig
ious scruples against war, or was a
member of tAe I. W. W., or an an
archist or a communist.
