Blackman, federal examiner, in the circuit court room, at the conclusion of which, exercises were conducted by Col W. H. Paine of the American Legion, and Circuit Court Judge H. D. Norton made a short address. Final examinations were held for R. O. Mulholland and Edith Caro lina Schramm eck of this city, and they were granted citizenship papers. Preliminary bearings were held for Oscar Johnson, his wife Marlon, James Douglas, and Henry B. Schmltz, all of Grants Pass. Schmlta was instructed to study more about American laws and customs, and to appear for examination next Feb ruary. Final examinations for the other three applicants will be held at Grants Pass tomorrow. Questions ashed the applicants dealt with history queries relative to America and Its constitution, and each was asked if he had any relig ious scruples against war, or was a member of tAe I. W.
