Scouts AreDoing

We are glad to welcome riome again
two of our Girl Scouts from the high
school troop, Doris Bashaw and
Katherlne Stearns, who spent several
weeks at Camp Chaparrel near Santa
Cruz.
Medford was very fortunate In be
ing awarded two scholarships to
Camp Chaparrel this summer for the
first time, these scholar ships to be
given to outstanding hlg school
scouts. High School troop, No. 1,
was asked to select the two girls, and
In this way Doris and Katherlne were
chosen.
Each of the girls on arriving at
Chaparrel. Joined the puppetry and
handicraft classes, Many other classes
arc hold In addition to these, but
they felt these to sound most Inter
esting. Botft girls have very clever
puppets which they made and creat-.
ed themselves, and hope ln time to
train a few girls to assist them In
presenting puppet shows through the
year.
