To Retain Oame Lands .
In an effort to preserve for the peo,
pie of Clatsop county all available
hunting and fishing privileges, the
county court of that county has
adopted the policy of refusing to sell
or lease lands on which the chief
value is hunting or fishing.

In Portland newspapers that Henry
Johnson of ' West ' Woodburn has
grown a cornstalk -over 10 feet two
incbos high, with practically every
stalk In hi field over eight feet
high, the Roseburg News -Review
comes out with the information that
a stalk grown by Henry Ellsworth
of Molrose, Douglas county, is 13 feet
high, and the Grants Pass Courier
tells of a record crop being expected
In Josephine county with many fields
