presented to C. L. Buck, district
forester at Portland, by aviation

sition has also been discussed with
Senator Charles L. McNary, who is
reported to have commented favor
ably upon the plan and to have
pledged .'tis support. -
The field. It Is believed,- could be
constructed at' very little: expense,'
and would prove of much Importance
in many respects. It would De ox
considerable value In forest adminis
tration and particularly during the
fire season as a means of providing
a quick way In getting men and sup

in the event of an emergency.

be used by many Bportamen from
Oregon and California, some of whom
