ID CLEAR PORCH
Correct rules as to which porch a
tenant should sit on, especially ir his
room is In the back of the house, were
decided yesterday afternoon by a oc&
landlady, without the aid of police
officers. However, she notified them
of her decisions at the close of the
episode.
The woman had rented out a room
In the back of the house. Nothing
was suid concerning the porches at
the time of the transaction, but Mr.
Roomer took it for granted that he
would be allowed to take a leisurely
re.n on the front porch occasionally.
Yesterday afternoon he was enjoy
ing hi msel f (on t he f ron t porch )
when he was Informed by Mrs. Land
lady that his room was In the back
of the house, and that was where
he belonged. He did not think so.
His side of the debate was upheld
by -passive resistance he continued
to rest. Her side was upheld by ac
tion. The tranquility he had been
enjoying was suddenly lnterupted by
a cold spray from the garden hose.
Mrs. Landlady did not tell police
whether or not Mr. Roomer paid her
extra for the cooling refreshment.
