The outbreak, the second In

Fire discovered shortly after
midnight destroyed the main plant
of" the Mountain Lumber com
pany here with nn estimated loss
of $100,000. One fireman, A. V.
Youk, was Injured. by a falling
timber.
The blaze was found by the
night watchman, but had gained
great headway. The city fire de
partment and the city fire boat
prevented the flames from spread
ing, but could not save the main
building.

to move. A passerby called police.

DESTROYED BY FIRE

Three cotton gins and the oil mill
of the J. G. Boswell company here
were destroyed by fire which
broke out at 12:45 o'clock this
morning. The loss is estimated
close to $1,000,000.
The fire, which was exceedingly
spectacular, was believed to have
been caused when a fuse blew out
in the oil mill, one of the most
modern plants of its kind In the
valley. Tanks of cotton seed oil
exploded, making the work of
fighting the fire dangerous.

the heaviest sentences Imposed in
months. He was ordered to Jail
