theft of an auto, diamond ring,
and, $10 from Mrs. D. R. Scrihner
of this city, who receives, $160 per
month - from, the Indian bureau,
sought a reconciliation this morn
ing, as he meditated his fate in a
county jail cell.
Wells recently became religious

George Nellson, : desires to mend
his ways and. has besought the
complaining-witness, ta forget and

Mrs. Scribner conferred with the
district, attorney this morning and
was not- inclined to consider any
compromise. She alleges that Wells
slashed her- with a penknife, bit
her finger, failed to nay., for his
keep, lost legal papers showing her
as owner of the sedan In dispute,
and- lost the key to the garage
containing the auto. - According to
her allegations, Wells has had a
vivid and varied series of affairs
with women.
Wells,, a- giant in- physique,1 was

disturbance in the Nash hotel. The
district. .attorney's office says he
has been a problem for some time.
