ER ADVANCE
TALKED FOR EGGS
PORTLAND, Ore., June 30; (P)
.The butter market was steady to-j
day. Demand has been holding up
well enough to prevent price re
cessions. The rains In the past few
weeks have improved pasture con
ditions and consequently a large
supply of butter Is coming onto the
-market. This Is being felt more in
' the higher ' score butter than In
other grade.
The advance of one cent a dozen
"on eggs established yesterday was
'fully maintained and talk in the
trade Indicates another advance
before the end of "the week if con
ditions remain unchanged. The
receipts are heavy enough to sup
ply the demand.
Light country-killed veal was
weaker today with quotations at
11-11 V cents. "Heavy veal, from
180 to 200 pounds, Is moving slow
ly:. -Receipts are all out of pro
portion to domand, Portland Prod
uce company says.
Another shipment of corn from
The Dalles was, received today.
Shipments are being held back by
leather conditions. The corn was
-priced at 65-67 cents per dozen to
the trade.
Colored Mjrotlers at 18-90 cents
were dff slightly, but steady at the
new price. .There is a good -supply
of all springers on the market.
TVhlte Leghorns are going to? the
trade at 17 cents. .

' PORTLAND, Ore., June 30. (P)
Raspberries and loganberries were
the principal offerings of interest
on the East Side farmers' market
today. The supply was well under
the offerings on the first session
of the week and as a consequence
first prices were u;i as high as
? 1.25 for good quality raspberries.
'According to Borne of 'the grow
ers, canneries are going to take
more of the berries beginning
shortly.
There was a large supply of veg
etables on the market. Most of this
supply was of very good quality
and no price recession was -forced.
