Honors Washington

pha Delta class of the Chdlstlan
church Thursday afternoon at her
home.
The house was decorated with
fluga honoring Washington's birth
day. The president, .Mrs. P.
hutlllilll. presided at the business
period, opening with all singing
"America." .Mrs. A. II. Gregory
conducted the devotlonals. reuuest
ing a number of scripture .iimla
llons. and ltev. W. K. Balrd led In
prayer. Five visitors were intro
duced, and will he enrolled as
members of the class after attend
ing Hlble School for two consecu
tive Sundays.
The social hour followed, in
charge of Mrs. C. M. lion and hor
committee. A program of music
games and readings had heen pre
pared. The opening number was
a "Singing Feat." proving to the
Judges the wonderful ability of the
class as singers.
Mr. Ha lid gave two comic read
ings In a masterful way. The
hostess was assisted hy Mesdames
Hoy Guyer, Chester I'arker, Kosu
Alters and C. M. Hon. Refresh
ments, of cherry pic and coffee
were served. There were 33
present.
