son county had a law passed by
the legislature declaring it un
lawful to graze sheep upon a cut
tle range in Jackson county. In

son, pastured his sheep on unen

The cattle men, represented by
Attorney A. K. Ueanies, Instituted
a suit to enjoin him from so
doing. Anderson, by his attorney,
Don It. Newbury, defended the
suit on the prolines that the law
OLiild not, constitutionally, apply
to deeded land and that a man
had the right to make such use
of his land as he pleased; whether
the same was fenced or unfelieed.

never has been. Sheriff Ralph Jen
nings said today in reply to a
