looms February 17 at 8 o'clock,
-llh the lecturer's hour first. A
splendid program, composed of the
following numbers, was enjoyed by
a laruo attendance of members and
friends.
Opening cons. "America tho
lleautiful," led by C. Jf. Gilmore;
a talk by Stanley l'usrel on poultry
raisins: solo, by Hush CUImore
with Miss llanuon fit the piano;
Xoel Heard discussed the dairy
situation, in regard to tho effect
the milk ordinance would have on
the dairyman: solo, Mr. Kinit, and
life of Washington by 1". C. Homes.
The program closed with group
singing led by Mr. Ollmore. Im
portant legislative bills were dis
cussed. After the open meeting,
regular Orange session was held,
at which time Ucllviow Clrango
went on record as favoring the
resolution discouraging the use of
substitutes in place of cheese and
butter.
Harry Ward of Eagle Point
grange talked on the cheese indus
try in that place, and about the
pi-ogress made. Tiliford Clark, Joe
Worthiiiglon and Ted Seaman, all
of Kaglc Point, gave interesting
talks.'
A number of visitors from other
granges were present. Five appli
cations for membership were read,
and the first and second degree
work will be given to a cla.s of
fifteen at tho first meeting in
March. Tlie work will be put on
by ltcllviow officers.
