Lyric Tribute
to 'Dick Posey'
Written by Delroy Getchpll, and
read by him last night at the an
nual Lincoln club banquet, a poem
paid tribute to Dick Posey, the
"James Whitcomb Riley of Rogue
Hiver valley" He was a resident of
Ashland and was known in pilvato
life as Richard Campbell. He had
always appeared on past banquet
programs, but death overtook his
earthly efforts last year.
The poem Is as follows:
Whore clean wit abounding
Adorned every tale.
And laughter resounding
Arose like a gale.
We meet with none filling
Your place und your fame,
With grief the crowd stilling:
We honor your name.
Where now are you singing, '
Kind, beautiful one?
Where Is your wit winging
In shadow und sun?
Where are you, Dick Posey?
O! Where are you now?
In orbit of beauty
With bay on your brow?
Where angels are praying,
And saints never carp?
Where poets are playing
On bugle and harp?
Fair journey, Dick Posey,
In realm of the skies,
In. gardens grown rosy,
Where love never dies.

TAKE this big package of soap

it is!
The answer iff that White King's
granulated form permits it to pack
closer in the carton, like sugar. So
you really get more for your money
from the smaller package. The
