versary by dedicating a 5m,HlO
bridge in honor of the town's "first
citizen."
Mr. Edison expects to celebrate
the event by riding to the dedica
tory exercises in his 1SH flivver.
The ceremony will be simple and
last for less than an hour. An ox
carl wii! lead the parade, followed
by the Edison car. The inventor
probably will cut a ribbon marking
the formal opening of the bridge
named In his honor. A brief talk
will be made and the parade will
pass over the new bridge.
Plans tor the exercises have been
approved by Mr. Fditn, and care
will be taken not to tire him. This
will be his only public appearance
during the day,
lie will he interviewed at his
home by newspaper men and will
be visited by several of his close
friends, probably including Henry
Ford and Harvey Firestone.
The Thomas A. Fdison bridge is
a two-mile span across the Calon
sahatehee river, built by the Flori
da highway department.' As Mr.
Kdison arrives at the bridge a hand
will play "I'll Take You Home
Again, Kathleen," his favorite tune.
On his birthdav the inventor
expected to tell of his progress with
his rubber experiments. His search
for rubber in golden rod plants
which giow here is nearing an end
alter four years.

have invited him to ride while here,
and if he does consent to take an
airplane ride it will be his first
one,
