oil for tractors. Xo provision is

When the applicant Jas com
pleted his application? note and
mortgage, the papers will be turn
ed over to the couuty advisory
committee, consisting of a leading
banker anil two prominent farmers
who serve without pay.
They wiil determine" whether the
applicant has the necessary power
and machinery to produce the
crops he proposes to plant, what
his reputation is as a farmer, and
whether ho can be expected to use
iiis best efforts to produce a crop
and repay the loan.
They then will make a definite
recommendation to the depart - i
ment of agriculture field office
which disburses the loans.
Check on IV of Money
The field office will examine the
papers promptly and determine
the amount of the loan. This will
he based on needs of the individual
for seed and fertilized for the acre
age, and crops he proposes to
plant, and for feed for work stock
necessary to produce the crops.
Lou ns may be approved for an
amount less than that requested by
the applicant.
When a loan is approved a ehct:lc
will he drawn. to the borrower in
the amount of the first installment
of the loan, lb-fore a second ln
. stallment is paid, the borrower
will be asked to show how he has
expended the first. . No loan will
be mae to a farmer to increase
his major crop acreages..
