Mr. Demmer suffered a parnlfticl
stroke on January 17, from which

country with his parents when six
years of age. During his residence
in Medtord, he has served effic
iently in vurious capacities and was
one time a member of the city
council, lie was a member of the
Medford Masonic lodge and chapter
and the Odd Fellows, Encampment
and Hebekahs.
Hesides his wife, I.ily S. Demmer.
he leaves four children, two of
which, John .M. Demmer of San
Francisco and Kdna Klowere of
Taft, I'al., are by a former mar
riage and Kdward 1.. anil Juanita
Demmer of Medford. Also two step
children and two sisters, Theresla
Bruckner of Los Angeles and Mlnnu
Becker, Melrose, Oregon.
Funeral services will be conduct
ed at the Conger chapel at 1!:30
Sunday with l'rofessor A. J. Ilanby
officiating. Services at the grave
will he under auspices of tho local
Masonic lodge.

different for the' radio audience,

appeal to most everyone in the city
of Medford, the "Office Hoys."
Sam Coleman anil Hoy Shreeve,
have decided to set aside their
regular radio periods over the
local station, twice each week, for
Introduction of some of the local
people who have lived in Medford
for some lime past and to present
items of Interest concerning them.
According to the Office Boys,
they will lake the names in rota
tion, and will present information
concerning the influences that
guided the steps of the party to
Medford, just what was the decid
ing factor in their remaining in
Medford and some of the Interest
ing events In their lives. The
series will be heard each Tuesday
and Friday evenings between six
and seven o'clock.
Wilbert Crum is the new junior
observer of the Medford station of
tho U. S. weather bureau, who will
arrive here within the next1 few
days to fill that position, which hns
been filled by temporary appoint
ment, the vacancy being caused by
the promotion last October of O.
Kenneth Anderson from junior ob
server to assistant observer. Mr.
Crum has had HI months exper
ience nt the St. Joseph, Mo.,
weather station.
