Easter Monday Ball
At this month's business meeting
plans were started for the second
annual Faster Monday ball which
was. such a success last year. The
two general chairmen for tho af
fair are Mrs. F. G. Bunch and Mrs.
Win. Bulger. The nail has been
secured and all preliminary ar-
angements are underway. j
Ravioli Supper
Last Monday there was much ;
gaiety after the business was over.
Mrs. Minnie Bryant, Mrs. Hilda
Thurman and Mrs. Anna Jacuue
served a sumptuous ravioli supper.
Then there was the new Kagle
Point cheese and coffee to give
lidded zest. Much friendly fun was
had with and at the expense of
the Legionnaire waiters who as
sisted the committee. What was
lacking in skill was made up in repartee.
During the hour Mr. Frskine
and Mr. McK.it rick entertained
with guitar numbers which were
loudly . applauded. Several new

made welcome by the auxiliary and
its work and fun.
National Defense Conference
The interest of members of the
Medford unit of the American Le
gion auxiliary this week was in
Washington, D. C, where the sixth
annual women's patriotic confer
ence on national defense wns open
ing. The conference is being held
under tho co-sponsorship of the
auxiliary anil the Daughters of the
American Revolution and hun
dreds of delegates from all parts
of the country representing -10 na
tional women's organizations are
ittending.. Policies which the wo
men of these organizations will
follow in their work for an ade
quate national defense during the
coming year win oe soaped at tho
conference.

that they are considered eligible
