OFFICE STRIFE'
A feud existing between the
snake ami society editors of this
paper and resulting in each sur
reptitiously slamming the other
in t heir respective columns has
Ki'owu lo .such ;ui extent that
in Justice to each some ex plana -lien
should be nuule lest readers
form wrong impressions.
In the first place the fish ami
snake editor's published story of
the society dame chronicler hav
ing watched a pitched battle be
tween a Table Bock rattlesnake
and ranch yard chicken with
much interest is a pure halluci
nation arising from a recent
auto wreck in which the reptile
editor and several of his girls
were spilled.
The society editor of this paper
is not an Amazon. hike others
of her sex a small garter snake
could chase her all over the
county, and at. the sight of a
mouse she could easily Jump over
either Table liock or both of
them, and back before her com
posure was recovered.
But that is no excuse for her
retaliatory attack in trying to
make out the fish and snake
-editor as a lounge lizard and so
ciety sycophant by including his
name among the social guests at
society functions.
11 is partaking of soup can

be invited out to a dinner function
he would probably confidently
tuck, his napkin inside his shirt

with his left hand to spear an
