Club's Hospitality

The large banquet room and
I parlors were filled with bridge
tables. Progressive, pivot and en-
tract were in play during the af-

this season's formal evening mode,

torio, which depicts tho life of
Christ to the day of his cruci
fixion, it was announced yester
day. The first rehearsal will he neld
Monday, January 2fith. And' the
presentation will be at the Pres
bvterian church on Good Friday.
All persons who are Interested
in oratorio work are Invited to at
tend the rehearsal, their coopera
tion In accomplishing n fitting
presentation of the "Crucifixion"
is urged.
There will bo no orchestrations
included in the oratorio, the en
tire story being told in song, with
organ accompaniment. Therefore
tho need for voices will be still
greater than when the Messiah
was presented during -the Yule--tide
season.
The oratorio will be directed
by Mra. C. H. Paske, Assisted by
Mrs. Elsie Carlton Strang.
