IShe was not at all frightened from
! having been overturned from tho

"Are you all
right. Little

they both asked.
They were
so". .'What wor

from a tiny snow

he had fallen:
"Quite all right. Are youihqth
all right, too?" i4 V$
"We nre!" shouted Peggjf and
John cheerily. -A
They picked themselves up "from
the snow and begun to quiet tho
horse. He was quickly quieted
and, alt ho he trembled and felt
startled, he tried to be brave and
calm. '
"IJe took the wrong road,' tho
Little Black Clock told John and
I'eggy in a low voice. He is really
ja trifle ashamed that such a thing
: could have happened. And it did
startle him so to find that he was
in the heart of the woods.
"With such a heavy snow storm
it is only natural that he made this
mistake. There has evidently been
a short road built through hero
for the wood cutters in the logging
camp not far away.''
They all helped right the sleigh
and turn the horse around.
"Well,' said the Little 'Black
Clock, "it's the first upset we havo
had, but I think it was fun and
rather jolly to have had- a llttlo
excitement like this."
The children both did agree
with the Little Black Clock.
The snow was not so blinding'
now. They made their way back
to tha real road and continued
their drive until it was time to get
bark to the magic path and home.
John was proud of I'eggy for
behaving as she had when they
had upset. She was no cry baby
and no 'fraid cat! She was a real
sister. He wanted to tell her So,
but all he could think of saying
was:
"You were fine, Peggy!" '
And she knew all that meant!
