PARK ENTRANCES
FOR WINTER DAYS
While It waa raining in Medford

it was snowing hard at Crater
lakc, and in consequence of the
stormy weather there an average
of 10 inches of fresh snow has
been pHed on top of the old
snow depth, according to tele
phone Information received here
this morning by Superintendent
15. C. Kolinsky who arrived home
Katurday night from his sojourn
of two weeks in Kan Francisco.-
This means that Crater Lake
national park is at least closed
to tho public for the winter bv
nature, as tho new snow- on top
or the old, has blocked the en
trance roads to Anna Spring
camp, and In the natural order
of thlngw at that high elevation
will remain In that condition
until Into spring.
There were 54 Inches of snow
at Anna Spring camp this morn
ing, 57 incho at government
famp, and about 05 inches at tho
rim, and about 2 feet at the
Klamath and Medford entrances.
Tho weather wan cloudy at tho
