with light demand for rather heavy
early receipts.
Wholesale egg marliet opened
unchanged with receipts about suf
ficient for the normal demand In
force. : Stock received little atten
tion from buyers.
All lines of country dressed
meats and poultry were very firm,
due to active New Year's holiday
call. Poultry quotations were ad
vanced 1 to 2 cents, excepting for
light weights. Quote: Heavy hens,
20 cents; medium weights, 15 to 1G
conts; lights, 12 cents, and springs,
20 cents. Turkeys were quotubly
steady at 29 to 31 cents.
