tion of the executive committee of
the Oregon Htate Grunge in session
here today.
The group had before It the bill
drafted nnd prepared by a special
committee appointed by C, C.
Iluiet, Mate muster, which form is
expected to ho presented to the
state legislature.
The Mil provides, Kenneth Har
lan, consulting attorney, said, that
upon petition by 10 percent of the
voters of a proposed power district
to a statu hydro-electric cornrnlnv
sion, which is to be set up by other j
legislation, the commission must
make A study of the feasibility ot
the project and within 60 days call
a public hearing before the entire
district.
The commission will make Its
recommendations for or against
the proposed project following the
hearing. It must then call an
elecilon In the district, decide for
innlion, genernl obligation bonds,
and elect five dlroctors. AU three

lot. Harlan said the proposal pro
vides that no property bo removed
from the tax roll, but Valher that
the projects voted nnd constructed
be taxed exactly as private utility
projects.

agent of the state of Oregon in
New York City, the sum of 9505,
315 with which to pay tho principal
of $500,000 Oregon war veterans'
Htate aid bonds and interest on the
bonds from October 1, 1930, -to
January 1. 1931.
The payment reduces the total of
veterans aid bonds from $27,250,
000 outstanding ' to $26,750,000.
