CHILDREN ENJOY
CRATER! FILM
AS SANTA'S AIDES' GOOD CITIZENSHIP
Roty cheeks and sparkling eyes,
shadowed by bulky Christmas pack,
ages, characterized the faces of
more than 1000 youthful Santa
Clanaea who. entered, thQ Fox Cra
tcrtiih, thrnitre this .moniinK to at
tend the pre-Christmas matinee,
given a a aitectal treat to children
of Medford by the management of
the theatre.
: The bundles, which were brought
by children, who could afford to
take fcomethins from the family
larder, will be distributed to poor
families of Medford in the Christ
mas baskets prepared by the Elks
j lodge.
The packages contained food.
I clothing and a few toys. Canned
fruits und vegetables, which will
add much cheer to Christmas
tables, filled moKt of the packages.
The matinee wa? free to nil chil-1
dren and many whose cupboards!
are not filled enjoyed the picture
along with the others. An hilari
ous shout arose from the crowd as
the lights went out to announce
the showing of Harold Lloyd in
"Why Worry?" The picture was
accompanied hy a rollicking synco
pation comedy. And both were
heartily enjoyed by the youns au
dience, each humorous scone beins
punctuated with gurgles of glee. j
This is the second Christmas I
party given by the Fox Crateriun J
theatre. Last year the guests i
brought clothing lor the poor. It (
Is believed t hat the comhinat ion j
worked out this year, however, will
prove more satisfactory for every-
one. ' j
The safety of all children was
assured at the morning's party by j
the presence of Fire Chief Kllioit,
Volunteer Fireman fleorge Brown i
