per cent natural color, singing, talk
ing, dancing Vitapbone epic of cov
ered wagon days, which comes to
the Holly theatre for Sunday and
Monday.
"Song of the West" has action
and movement. The eye of the all
natural color camera follows the
rapid movement of horsemen, the
march of the pioneers, and the oth
er magnificent outdoor scenes with
complete ease, thus speeding up
the action of the story greatly.
This was made possible by Im
provements Wurner Bros.' engin
eers made in Vituphone equipment.
For the first time in talking pic
ture history a complete recording
plant was taken out into the wilds,
200 miles from Los Angeles, and
the outdoor scenes, covering a
sweep of several miles, recorded in
long shots and close-ups with com
plete ease and perfect effects.
