Church Bazaar
Proves Success
A, very successful bazaar was
held Thursday afternoon and eve
ning by ladies of the Presbyterian
chui'rh. Fancy work booths were
in charge of a group of ladies,
candy in charge of Mrs. Lewis 11

of Mrs. H. P. W. Spilver.
A turkey dinner was served at B
o'clock under the ' leadership of
Mrs. Oilmore, chairman of the
committee. The dinner was fol
lowed by an interesting program
Including a series of tableaux pre
sented as the review of an old
fashioned album. Mrs. Ilanby as
the grandmother scanning the
book for her friend, Mrs. Harry
Prentice, kept the audience
amused.

Card Party, Bazaar
Enjoyed By Circle
Monday night, December 8, the
Thimble club of Chrysanthemum
circle, No. 84, Neighbors of Wood
craft, held a very successful card
party and fancy work bazaar. At
the close of the games all were
invited to the banquet hall, where
the committee hud prepared a Del
Hay chicken ravioli supper.
Kveryone expressed himself as
pleased with this Innovation of the
Italian dish.

Christinas Parly
At X o'clock Monday evening,
December 22, the auxiliary will
entertain its po.st with a Christ
mas party. The post will first have
a short business meeting but the
auxiliary will fill this time with
music and stunts. When the men
join the ladies dancing will
be followed by a supper. Many
hints as to Its savor have come
from Mrs. Jacobs and her commit
tee but the cat is still In the hag.

auxiliary the opportunity to leave
its quarts and pounds at the bak
ery all day Wednesday, December
1 7. M rs. Parker has asked that
discretion be used In things
brought as the baskets will not be
delivered until the day before
Christinas and suggests non-perishable
non-breakables and staples.
These donations will help fill tho
Christmas baskets that will help
lighten the load of some ex-service
man at the holiday time.

Carnival and Dance

A jolly event In lodge circles
during the past week was the car
nival ami dance sponsored by the
Yeoman lodge In the K. P. hall
Thursday evening.
A fish pond and Interesting
booths for all members of the fam
ily were Included in the carnival.
Confetti and serpentine added a
holiday atmosphere to tho oc
casion, as did the many clever cos
tumes worn by the guests.
Music was furnished by Dynge's
five-piece orchestra. Curd playing
also was enjoyed by many guests.

in charge tells of the present need
for the following things: Cotton or

sizes, men's clothing, toys for chil
dren, sewing materials such as
needles, thread, thimbles aiid so
forth, and yarns.
