SCHOOL ELECTION
COMING TUESDAY
Members , of the Llonsciub In
regular noon 'session today' wire
urged to encourage as large a vote
as possible at the school election
next Tuesday when the proposition
of constructing new school build
ings will be considered by ' voters
of the Medford school district.. In
the past school elections have at
tracted scant Interest but In view
of the Importance of -Tuesday's
measures, members were' told to
vote themselves os well as bring
ing other voters to the polls..
Business-conditions are not as
bad as they have been painted,
according to a paper by Ralph
Castle, San Francisco, as read by
Lion Ernest L. Scott. The paper
brought out that savings accounts
have Increased throughout the
land and during the past year the
totnl was Increased by 267 millions
of dollars. If people would spend
more and buy now,- the socalled
depression would have no part in
Amerlcnn life, Lion Scott read.
Lion Cub John Fischer, dnlry

and also entertained the members
with a piano solo, the "Milkman's

The club went on record to In
dorse the big charity ball sched
uled for one week from Saturday
