' History of Case. -The
history of tho casa is as
folldws:
Pointer, well known locallv. In
904 possessed about $7,000. He
made several unprofitable private
loans, and then .called upon his
son-in-law, P. fc. Nalley,' and his
daughter, Anna C. Nalley, to in
vest his money. , By shrewd invest
ments they brought the amount to
11.500 by 1917. During, tho war
all loans were called In. After the
war, desiring to Invest again, (ic
again turned the money . over to
ho galleys, and they raised the
sum of approximately $20,000.
Tho Nalleys started divorce pro
ceedings, nnd Pointer executed a
conveyanco whereby he transfered
half the sum to Nalley and half
to his daughter, Mrs. Nalley, with
tho understanding Nalley was to
transact his. buslnoss in tho future.

'After this action. Pointer made
another document, loavlng one
third of his wealth to Mrs. Nallov.
and one-third each to Mr. and Mrs.
C. Cass, and then, It was ullcsed.
Pointer made another testament:
cutting out Nalley from the. be
quests. . 1 ' ".
Mrs. Nalley then filed a contest,
asking that her father! Pointer,
bo declared Incompetent, nnd tho
proceedings were Jialted in tho cir

The case.wa's then appealed to

to a decision of the Medford school
board, It was announced todr.v. .
While (hero was some personal
preference for brick on the part of
suuie people, Bupt. E. H. lleiirlck
stated , this morning the- school
board was unanimous in the feel
ing -that the arguments nt this time
are distinctly in favor of concrete.
"In the llrst place, the estimates
we .have, from several architects
snow mat concrete, construction

per cent joss in Medford at- this
tune,-. Mr. Hedrlclt added. "More
over, Medford has locally the ma
