IF DANCING IS THE POETRY OF MOTION., as someone said, then here -io some of the keenest poets you ever saw. Preferring flowing mantles to flowing
locks, the light-footed girls in the upper photoi all co-eds at the University of Southern California, are shown as they executed an esjktic turn at ballet practice in
preparation for the summer festival at Los Angeles. Dancers of another sort are the charming chorus girls1 of the movies, right, who, after due reflection, feel they can
now look upon themselves with considerable pride. And if you practice your dancing lessons diligently, some day you might gather a collection of cups just as beauti
ful Janet Chandler, below, of Los Angeles, has. Janet, an amateur, decided to retire from competition,-now that she has acquired her fiftieth trophy.:'

CROSSING THE" BAR may seem a casual bit of routine .'
to this sleek steed, tut notice the tense expression of the man
at the reins. This striking action photo, taken; at the Inter-
national Horse Show at the Olympia, London, shows the
entrant of the German team taking a hurdle in. superb form. '
From the manner in which he has curled his forelegs, the
horse seems capable of clearing a much lugher hurdle.
