Coast league today as a result of
the holiday bills, In which Los
Angeles and Hollywood cleaned up
with a bang by winning double
headers. The Angels Increased their
league lead to four games, with
ten to play, by downing Portland
twice, lo to 0, and 6 to 6.
The Stars extended their win
ning streak to twelve games, made
it five In a row from Oakland, and
went into third place In the stand
ings, trimming the Acorns twice,
10 to 9 and 2 to 0.
Sacramento aided the Angels'
rise "by dropping two to the Mis
sions, 7 to 3, and 17 to 6. Monroe
and Camilll each got two homers
for tbe Missions in tho latter game.
Tight pitching .was the feature
of the double-header at Seattle.
The Indians won the first, 6 to G,
with Kallio in the box, and Han
