watering for the third crop of al
falfa." Mr. Arnspiger said today.

The official count brought the
total number of signatures to pe
titions circulated throughout the
state up to 24,410. The number
required for placing the ' amend
ment on tho ballot was 1 5.550. Of
the 24,410 signatures, 4500 were
from Jackson county.
There were 32 of the 30 coun
ties of the slate represented on
the petitions. The four which were
not represented are Grant, Sher
man; Wheeler and Polk. -'
The committee was pleased to
find all const counties represented,
which the members believe Indi
cates the willingness of people in
the fishing are to see the . question
brought to the vote of the people.
