The rain and hail were especial
ly heavy thruout the Crater Na
tional forest during the storm,
which was accompanied by much
thunder and lightning, and In some
sections of the forest the ground
was white with hail. No lightning
fires were started in the forest
t during the storm, at least no such
I reports had been recetvedat the
; forest headquarters here up" to this
noon.
A rumor on the streets this noon
that heavy hall had fallen In the
western section of the valley and
caused damage could not be veri
fied either at the county agent's
office or the local weather bureau,
as no such occurrence had been
reported at either place. Unsettled
weather is forecast for tonight.

TIMBALES
Mix one cupful of toft bread crumbi

ten minutes, until the mixture Is smooth.

strainer or a meatchopper. Add to bread
and milkmixturc one-third cupfulof milk
two beaten egss, four tablespoons o
melted butter, one teaspoonfulsaltand
One tablespoonful of chopped parsfey
or pimiento. Line buttered Individual
molds with rice oripaghetli and fill with
the fish mixture. Place the molds in a pan
of hot water, cover and bake for thirty
minutes In a moderate oven. Turn out
on hot platter and serve with parsley
or pimiento sauce.
